"AutoExec.NT"

If you tried to get into WinPower, but instead got stopped by a message complaining about the status of your "autoexec.nt" file, keep reading:

If the error message had "c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt" in it, click – and RUN – the file below:
Win-aent.exe

If the error message had "c:\winNT\system32\autoexec.nt" in it, click – and RUN – the following:
NT-aent.exe

If the above does not work, right click the link below, and "SAVE" the file directly to c:\windows\system32, or to c:\winNT\system32 (to correspond to the error message you get when trying to go into WinPower...)
autoexec.nt

If you had this, but let it expire, we recommend you stay with what you had.

More:  "Sweeping" is important, but it is much more important to "update" your virus definition files.  I cannot emphasize this enough!!

And finally, I also recommend – as additional protection – the following products from Lavasoft:  Ad-Aware and Ad-Watch...
